The Board of Directors of the Associated Christian Schools of Australia invite suitably qualified people to apply for the position of Executive Director of the Associated Christian Schools.
The Associated Christian Schools of Australia (ACS) is a friendship of Christian believers committed to the growth of Christian educational communities through the sharing of knowledge, serving our membership body according to need and extending support to schools outside of our own members.
The successful candidate will demonstrate
- Experienced strong strategic leadership and communication skills
- Ability to network and build relationships with ACS Principals, Board Chairs, other sectors such as Independent Schools Queensland, denominational associations, and ACS International networks
- Experience/Skills/Understanding of school governance and Education matters
- Faith alignment is an important attribute to advance ACS’s mission
About the role
- Advancing the Vision of ACS and its Strategic Intents whilst sustaining the values and culture of the organisati
- Oversight of ACS events and other communication strategies.
- Developing and maintaining effective communications and relationships with the ACS membership and community, both internal and external, including representation and promotion of activiti
- Active participation in relevant professional bodies at both state and national level where relevant, to promote the interests of the organisati
- In conjunction with the ACS Finance Committee, managing the ACS Budget and other financial matters of the organisati
- Researching, planning and leading ACS Study Tours (held every two years or as determined).
- Supporting schools undertaking their Non-State Schools Accreditation Board Compliance Reviews and acting as Validator where requested; maintaining communication with the Office of Non-State Schools in relation to this role.
- Maintaining regular communication with the Principals and Board Chairs of ACS member schools.
- Undertaking requests from member schools, such as School Reviews, Compliance Reviews, Principal/Executive Leadership recruitment etc.

Dr Lynne Doneley Resignation Announcement
Lynne has announced that she will be retiring from her position as ACS Executive Director. This means that ACS will be looking to appoint our next Executive Director to begin in January 2023.
