About the Position

Due to the upcoming retirement at the end of the year of our valued Head of Junior School, who has dedicated an incredible 28 years to our College community, we have an exciting opportunity to lead our Junior School. We are seeking a visionary and experienced educational leader to build upon this legacy, fostering Christ-centred excellence, and continuing the tradition of nurturing the growth, wellbeing and development of our young minds. The Head of Junior School at Redlands College is a pivotal role and a member of the College Executive. The Head of Junior School is responsible to the Principal for the educational leadership, pastoral care and organisational culture of the sub-school. The Head of Junior School will lead and develop, within the mission and vision of the College, the strategic priorities and plans of the sub-school.
The position is responsible for the strategic and operational effectiveness of the Junior School and is supported in this function by a Deputy and a team of Classroom Teachers, Wellbeing and Enrichment Staff.

Applications close at 4pm on Friday 15 March 2024. Applicants must be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers. Please note, the College reserves the right to fill the position early by invitation or appointment, make an interim arrangement, extend the application date, or to re-advertise the position.

Applicants shortlisted for an interview will be required to do a 5-minute presentation, outlining their vision for the Junior School.

It is anticipated the selection process will occur during Term 2, with an appointment made by the middle of the year. This role will commence on 8 January 2025. This is an Executive Role on a 5 year contract. It has no timetabled teaching duties.
