Thursday 8th May | Visit Emmanuel College, Consett Road Gateshead, Tyne and Wear NE11 0AN United Kingdom | Emmanuel College was founded in 1990 as Tyneside’s City Technology College (CTC) and opened with just 150 Year 7 students. |
Thursday 8th May | Dinner with Jonathon and Julie Winch at their home in Newcastle | Jonathon has been Principal of Emmanuel College Gateshead and also Executive Principal of the Emmanuel Schools Trust. He and Julie were keynote speakers at the 2012 ACS Leadership Summit held at Palmer Coolum Resort. Jonathon currently serves as Executive Director of Westminster Seminary. For those not familiar with Jonathon, a talk he gave on Christian education last year can be accessed here Christian Education | Jonathan Winch (youtube.com). Afternoon Monday 12th May | Visit to Kingham Hill | Kingham Hill is beautifully situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, near Oxford, Cheltenham and Stratford-Upon-Avon. Tuesday 13th May | Visit to Berkhamsted Overton House | Berkhamsted School is one of Britain’s leading independent schools, with over 470 years of history and tradition. It is a Day and Boarding school offering both single sex (from age 11 – 16) and co-educational teaching for boys and girls aged 3 – 18. Wednesday 14th May | Visit to Monkton Combe Monkton Combe, Bath | Monkton School, just a mile from the World Heritage City of Bath, is an independent, co-educational boarding and day school for pupils aged 2-18 focussing on Christian ethos, excellent exam results and strong pastoral care.
